But we are Pilsner Urquell: The Original Beer Experience – a unique experiential exhibition where we use the latest technologies to tell the fascinating story of one of our national treasures – the world's first golden lager.

What is the Experience? The concept combines storytelling with immersive modern technologies, beer tasting, and entertainment. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff members ensure that every visitor has a wonderful time spent in good company, no matter their background.

Let yourself get carried away by the fascinating story of the world’s first bottom-fermented lager in a unique interactive tour, the only one of its kind. This immersive experience conveys the history of the creation and production beer in a completely unique way. State-of-the-art technology and detailed installations spread across 3 floors (3500 m²) of a recently renovated historic building (with wheelchair access) allow you to experience the story of beer through all your sense, quite literally. And if you wish, our professional tapsters can teach you how to pour a perfect beer in all the traditional ways.

The Original Tour: 

During The Original Tour, you will be transported back in time and experience the story of beer from its origins in ancient times to the present day. The entire exhibition of our unconventional beer museum is meticulously designed, and through the use of the latest technologies, it engages all human senses from beginning to end.

You will taste our golden beer while meeting our first brewmaster, and with your senses already stimulated, you will experience the brewing processes - our ingredients, the hot brewhouse, or chilly cellars! We will explain to you the importance of foam in each of the perfect Czech beer pours, and before leaving the storytelling floor, a lot of fun will be waiting for you in our 360° game hall!

The tour continues in our iconic Beer Hall, where you can taste two more beers served by our friendly tapsters or participate in one of our shows! And if you visit our brand shop, you can take home a personalized hand-engraved beer mug or a bottled Pilsner Urquell with your name on it.

Tapster Academy:

Did you know why we only pour our beer into a wet glass? At what temperature does our beer taste best? What is the difference between dry and wet foam? Why do we never pour our beer from a height? How do you tell if you've got a clean glass in the pub? And how do you actually pour the typical three Czech pours - hladinka, šnyt and mlíko?

After completing our exclusive Tapster Academy, you'll never look at beer the same way again. And to top it all off, you'll receive a certificate of completion and a special gift - because you've earned it!
