Location: The museum is located in the center of Prague in the Old Customs House (Stará Celnice), V Celnici 1031/4, Prague 1. The entrance to the museum is found on the Square of the Republic (náměstí Republiky) between Billa supermarket and Kolkovna restaurant.
Description
The Museum presents a vivid account of Communism from it’s early days all the way to its rapid collapse in November 1989.
You will get a glimpse of history from original films, archive photographs, projections, interviews, artworks, historic documents and large scale installations that bring an entire chapter of history to life.
Focusing on giving you not only historical content but a unique experience to understand the impact the Communist regime has had in politics, sport, economic, education, the arts, judiciary shaping all aspects of daily life and its influence in millions of lives across generations of Czechs.
