Description
Chapeau Rouge, founded in 1919 and established as a dazzling star in the massive sky of Prague night clubs, it has been redefining its eminent presence in past epochs. Located in an Art Noveau house in the city centre, with a lavishly styled interior, today it serves as an attraction to a crowd of mass proportions. Everyday djs, live concerts and performances on 3 floors with 4 bars and 3 stages.
Chapeau Rouge is located in a classicist-nouveau building. Although according to the criteria of many old town houses it is still a young man of almost a century, it bears the ancient name of U Štupartů . That was the name of its much larger predecessor, which stretched from Jakubská Street to Celena Street. The name reminds us that in the years 1664 – 1732 the house belonged to the imperial governor Petar Štupart from Löwenthal and his family.
