Our pub remembers a lot in its nearly century-long history. Publicly known people were and still are frequent visitors: artists, athletes and politicians. We have been the site of live entrances countless times on public and private television. You could see our premises in documentaries, as extras in several films and music videos, including foreign productions. We are located approximately 200 meters north of Náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrady on Škroupov Náměstí, which is named after the music composer František Škroup, on the border of the two famous Prague districts of Vinohrady and Žižkov. The first mentions of our restaurant date back to 1929. This means that guests came to us already during the First Republic, during the Second World War and then also in the subsequent Dark Ages, i.e. when the Communists ruled the Czech Republic. It was at this time that Škroup Square became indelibly written in history.
